What to Expect in Our Program

Our Men's Intimacy Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is designed to support individuals struggling with sex and love addiction, pornography addiction, intimacy & attachment disorders, and various presentations of trauma. Through a structured and compassionate approach, clients receive intensive therapeutic support in both group and individual settings. Here’s what participants can expect:

Four 3-Hour Group Sessions Per Week

Participants attend four group therapy sessions each week facilitated by our expert clinicians. These groups offer a safe, nonjudgmental space to explore core issues related to intimacy, attachment, and addiction. Group work fosters connection, accountability, and healing within a community of peers who understand the journey.

Individual Therapy – 1 Hour Per Week

Each participant meets weekly with a licensed therapist for one-on-one sessions tailored to their unique history and therapeutic goals. Individual therapy allows for deeper exploration of personal challenges, emotional patterns, and trauma that may underlie intimacy struggles.

Partner Betrayal Weekly Group

Healing occurs not just for the individual in treatment, but also for their loved ones. This group provides support and psychoeducation for partners who have experienced betrayal trauma. While separate from the core IOP group, this offering helps create a parallel healing process for relationships affected by sex and love addiction, with the goal of mending ruptured relationships and caring for the partners of our clients.

Couples Weekly Group Therapy

For clients in relationships, the weekly couples group therapy offers guided support in rebuilding trust, understanding patterns of disconnection, and fostering emotional intimacy within the couple. Led by experienced clinicians, these sessions support the couple's journey toward relational recovery.

Psychoeducation Group

Knowledge is a key part of the healing process. Our psychoeducation groups offer structured learning on topics such as attachment theory, trauma, neurobiology of addiction, emotional regulation, and healthy intimacy. These sessions empower participants with tools and insights to support long-term recovery.

Week 3: Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP) Sessions

In the third week of the program, clients participate in the Safe and Sound Protocol (SSP): a therapeutic listening intervention designed to calm the nervous system, improve emotional regulation, and support trauma resolution. This evidence-based tool can be especially helpful for clients with a history of complex trauma or heightened sensitivity.
